World Capitals
Norway
Answer
Oslo
Explanation
Oslo is the capital and largest city of Norway, home to the Storting (parliament), the government, and the Royal Palace. Located on the Oslofjord, it’s a cultural and economic hub and famously hosts the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony at Oslo City Hall.
Don’t confuse it with other Scandinavian capitals: Stockholm is Sweden, Copenhagen is Denmark, and Helsinki is Finland. A handy memory tip: Norway → “NOrway” and “OSlo” both start with O sounds, and “Oslofjord” ties the city to Norway’s coast. Historically, Oslo dates back to around 1040, was renamed Christiania after a 1624 fire, and reclaimed the name Oslo in 1925.
