Vision (color perception) is weakest in dogs compared to humans because dogs are dichromats: they have two types of cone photoreceptors and see mainly blues and yellows. Humans are trichromats with three cone types, enabling richer color discrimination and finer visual detail. By contrast, dogs excel at smell (orders of magnitude more odor receptors), hear higher frequencies than we do, and use sensitive whiskers to detect subtle air movements and nearby objects.
