The story behind the answer

European Robin (Erithacus rubecula) is identified by its orange-red face and breast with olive-brown upperparts and a fine, straight bill—features that separate it from similar options. The American Robin is a larger thrush with a gray head and no orange face; male Common Redstart shows a black face and an orange tail; European Stonechat males have a black head and white neck patches.

Familiar in European gardens, the robin is famously bold and sings through much of the year, even in winter.
