South Sudan is correct. Its flag, adopted at independence in 2011, features Pan-African colors with a blue triangle bearing a gold star symbolizing unity; blue also represents the Nile. The design originated with the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement during the struggle that led to the creation of the world’s newest country.
