Gaia is the primordial goddess who personifies the Earth itself in Greek mythology. In Hesiod’s Theogony, she emerges from Chaos and gives birth to Uranus (Sky), Pontus (Sea), the Titans, Cyclopes, and Giants—establishing the cosmic order. By contrast, Eris is the goddess of strife, Themis embodies divine law and order, and Hecate is associated with magic, crossroads, and the night—none of them represent the Earth.
