Temple Guards carry a double-ended staff lightsaber with short, yellow blades—built for defense and control within the Temple. That sets it apart from a Force pike, an electro-shocking polearm used by security forces and the Emperor’s Royal Guard; a Vibroblade staff, a purely physical vibro-weapon with no plasma blades; and a “saber spear,” a rarer variant not issued to Temple Guards.

Introduced in The Clone Wars, these masked Jedi serve as anonymous custodians of the Order, with yellow blades symbolizing vigilance and neutrality (a color later echoed by Rey).
