Which of these positions did the astronomer and physicist Isaac Newton not hold?

The story behind the answer

Surveyor to the City of London is correct because Newton never held that municipal post. He did serve as Member of Parliament for the University of Cambridge, was the Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at Cambridge, and became Warden (and later Master) of the Royal Mint, where he led the Great Recoinage and cracked down on counterfeiters.

Remember it with the “Three Ms”: Mathematics, Member, Mint—those are Newton’s roles. “Surveyor” sounds like streets and buildings, which fits architects and city officials, not the physicist who wrote Principia, unified celestial and terrestrial mechanics, and reformed Britain’s coinage.
