Titus is correct. Reigning 79–81 AD, the son of Vespasian completed the Colosseum (the Flavian Amphitheater) and inaugurated it with grand games in 80 AD. He also faced the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD, which buried Pompeii and Herculaneum. Titus organized relief efforts, sent officials and funds, and earned a reputation for generosity and compassion.
