The king cobra is the world’s longest venomous snake, growing up to about 5.5 meters (18 feet). While the inland taipan has more potent venom and the green anaconda is heavier and longer overall among snakes, neither is both venomous and longer than the king cobra. Yellow-bellied sea snakes are comparatively short.
