The Bosnian War is correct because it erupted in April 1992, just weeks after the Maastricht Treaty was signed (February 1992). Following Bosnia and Herzegovina’s independence referendum, fighting broke out among Bosniaks, Croats, and Serbs, leading to the siege of Sarajevo and Europe’s worst violence since World War II.
