Jotunheim (“home of the jötnar”) is the realm of the giants in Norse cosmology. The word jötunn means giant, so the name itself gives it away. It lies beyond Midgard and is home to figures like Útgarða-Loki and the frost giants who often clash with the gods of Asgard.
