What is the unit of electrical inductance?

The story behind the answer

Henry (H) is the SI unit of inductance. An inductor has an inductance of 1 henry if a current change of 1 ampere per second induces an emf of 1 volt (E = −L di/dt). Equivalently, L is the flux linkage per current (L = λ/I). It’s named after Joseph Henry, who independently discovered electromagnetic induction around the same time as Michael Faraday.
