Antwort

Eule

Der Hintergrund zur Antwort

Owl is correct because most owls are nocturnal hunters. They have large, light-sensitive eyes packed with rod cells for low-light vision, facial disks that funnel sound, asymmetrical ears to locate prey in the dark, and fringed wing feathers for near-silent flight—perfect adaptations for nighttime activity.

By contrast, hawks, sparrows, and robins are diurnal, active during daylight. A handy memory tip: the phrase “night owl” exists for a reason. While a few owls (like the Snowy Owl) can hunt by day, most are nocturnal, which reduces competition with daytime raptors and lets them specialize in catching rodents and other prey under cover of darkness.
