The pictured weapon is a double-bladed lightsaber (saberstaff), showcased in The Phantom Menace with acrobatic, spinning attacks and wide, continuous arcs during the duel on Naboo. That sets it apart from the distractors: Darth Vader wields a single red blade with powerful, direct Form V strikes; Darth Sidious uses single sabers (sometimes dual-wields) and relies on speed and Force lightning; Darth Tyranus (Count Dooku) favors a curved-hilt single blade and elegant Makashi fencing.

Interesting context: The saberstaff concept drew from Legends (notably Exar Kun) and was canonized in the prequels. Its extended reach and ability to feint from either end make it visually striking and excellent for crowd control, but it’s risky in tight quarters and demands extreme precision—brought to life on screen by martial artist Ray Park.
