True. Dogs possess 50–60 times more scent receptors than humans (often 220–300 million vs. our ~5–6 million), and the part of their brain devoted to smell is proportionally far larger. Their wet, textured noses trap odor molecules, and specialized airflow when they sniff channels fresh scent in while pushing old air out.
